Jessica Plotin, LMFT & ATR

Jessica is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Art Therapist based in Southern California with over 15 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy, and earned her undergraduate degree from UC San Diego, where she majored in Theatre and minored in Visual Art: Painting and Drawing.

Jessica grew up deeply immersed in the fine arts and went to drama school in London. Her creative background inspires her integrative use of art and play therapy, helping clients explore imaginative solutions and express themselves in ways that feel authentic and transformative. She is passionate about empowering young people to rewrite their narratives and cultivate positive change.

Jessica specializes in working with children, teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, OCD, autism, ADHD, and identity development. Her collaborative, neurodiversity-affirming approach emphasizes each individual’s strengths and capacities. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy, she helps clients develop practical tools to manage emotions and shift unhelpful thought patterns, fostering confidence and resilience.

Outside of the therapy room, Jessica enjoys performing in local theatre productions, spending time with her cats, and dreaming up her next big adventure.
