Brendan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with over 17 years of experience across clinical and supervisory roles in mental health. His early career focused on child and adolescent care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, later expanding to work with adults and families in private practice and public sectors.

A significant part of Brendan's clinical background is in psychiatric crisis management and assessment, work that sharpened his ability to read a room quickly, stabilize high-stakes situations, and make sound clinical decisions under pressure — skills that translate directly into his passion for providing on-set support in the entertainment industry. He went on to serve as an adjunct professor in the Department of Graduate Studies at the University of Calgary, training students in mental health assessment and intervention.

Brendan works primarily from a CBT framework, incorporating ACT and CBT-I, and helps clients navigate anxiety, OCD, sleep, depression, stress, and behavioral challenges. His approach also explores early childhood experiences, attachment dynamics, and the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual influences that shape emotions and behavior. He has trained with Dr. Karl Tomm, founder of interpersonal pattern-based family therapy, which informs his work concerning interpersonal conflict management.

His interest in entertainment is personal. Brendan toured and recorded as a musician, and continues to work as a writer and recording artist — experiences that give him a genuine understanding of creative culture and what it asks of the people in it.

Outside the therapy room, Brendan is a surfer, rock climber, entrepreneur, screenwriter, published novelist, and recording artist.
